In view of reviving the tradition of making white wines at Listrac-Médoc dating back to the beginning of the century, we restored this small 2-hectares vineyard in 1989.
Baptised “Le CYGNE” (the swan) emblem of the family that constructed the château, it bore the name of a bird, like the other Listrac-Medoc whites. This wine develops fruity and flora aromas associated with discreet oak.
Best served at a temperature between 9° and 12°C, as an aperitif or paired with shellfish, oysters, fish or even white meat dishes.

Terroir
The terroir of gravelly Pyrenean soil covering a well-exposed limestone subsoil allows the grapes to ripen early
Vinegrowing
Vinegrowing constantly ensures that a balance is maintained between the plant and its environment in view of achieving well-aired foliage and a regular load of grapes which gradually ripen in the sunshine. Depending upon their nature, the parcels are either ploughed or grassed over between their rows.
Vinification
We hand pick the harvest, sorting it several times, in view of selecting only the most golden grapes. Fermentation and maturing takes place in barrels, 40% of which are new depending on the vintage
Ageing of the wines
The wines are matured on fine lees with regular stirring, revealing the complexity of well-ripened grapes. We then definitively blend the wine before bottling it at the château.
